An American Wedding In Ghent | The Dream Team
Whilst traveling around Europe, Pam met the love of her life, Bram, in his home country of Belgium. Though their chemistry was undeniable, Pam knew that she would have to leave Bram to return home to the United States of America at the end of her stay. Though many holiday romances end as quickly as they begin, Bram had other ideas; and continued to pursue the woman of his dreams. Travelling across the ‘Pond’ continuously, Bram and Pam shared a long distance relationship together, until the distance between them became unbearable, and Bram decided that he had no other choice than to move to the ‘Big Apple’ himself. After a few short years together in New York, Pam and Bram decided to tie the knot in the magical city of Ghent (or ‘Gent’ in Dutch): a fitting location for such a love story.
Many of their friends and family travelled across the Atlantic Ocean to share in their love, as Pam and Bram tied the knot in the Cultuurkapel. With flowers carpeting the aisle, Pam walked towards her future husband, and made her vows in Bram’s native language. Please watch, and share in Pam’s success, as she delivers the word ‘moeilijke’ (difficult) brilliantly to an overwhelmed crowd of loved ones.
With such an action-packed day planned, it was necessary to hire a second videographer for everything to be captured as perfectly as possible. As wedding videography requires skill and precision, it was important to hire a videographer who was able to capture moments as I aim to do at every wedding: with an eye for detail and emotion. Therefore, I asked a friend of mine, Craig McKenna, who is an up and coming talented wedding cinematographer in the UK, to join me in capturing Bram and Pam’s amazing wedding day.
Ultimately, the two of us had a blast, and Bram and Pam made us both feel very welcome. Shooting in the beautiful city of Ghent, with its stunning scenery, was the icing on the cake.
A special thank you to Pam and Bram, as well as their family and friends, for allowing us to capture such a perfect day.
